The PEP Lab seeks to advance understanding of how emotional processes contribute to mental health challenges in youth. Through rigorous, equity-focused research, we aim to inform the development of more effective and accessible interventions that reduce suffering and promote well-being among adolescents and young adults. Our research and clinical efforts reflect this mission by adopting a multimethod and multimodal approach, including but not limited to self-report, psychophysiology, neuroimaging, and experience-sampling methods. To this end, we aim to honor and embrace the diversity of the human experience by incorporating community stakeholders and diverse voices in our work.
